The "Groupe de recherche sur l’économie linguistique de la Bretagne (GRELB)” [Research Group on the Linguistic Economy of Brittany] is a forum about the linguistic practices and representations in Brittany. It focuses mainly on Breton (linguistics, socio-linguistics, dialectology, toponymy, written and oral literature, history), but it also studies any other language spoken in Brittany, as well as other Celtic languages, both ancient and modern, regional languages from France, Europe and the rest of the world which could shed a new light on the linguistic situation of Breton. Every three months, the Breton and Celtic department of the Université de Bretagne Occidentale (UBO) organises a seminar which is conducted by the teachers-researchers of the CRBC. Since 1985, the proceedings of these seminars are published in the journal “La Bretagne Linguistique” (ISSN 1270-2412).
